HEREDIUM? Probate?

The term heredium is from the Latin heres, meaning heir. It was used anciently to refer to a hereditary estate, inheritable land, or as an actual land measurement unit under the Romans. The word represents inheritance and heritage.

We focus on finding next-of-kin, for distribution of a deceased person’s assets. The process of this asset distribution as handled by a court is called probate.
